Bible Reading
Romans 10:9,10
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou
shalt be saved. 10
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness: and with the mouth
confession is made unto salvation.

History of Church
In the early
to mid 1940's following the General Assembly, Brother C. L.
Taylor brought R. N. Cowger and family home with him to assist
in the new field work. Prayer meetings were conducted in home of
Matthew Cannady. Also his brother, Ronnie Cannady from Erwin,
helped to get the meetings underway. They soon relocated
the place to worship in a store building. When C. L. Taylor set
the church along with fourteen charter members, it was called
Cannady's Mill Church of God of Prophecy. Ethel Odum and Jessie
McCullen were among the charter members.
At first, the infant
church worshipped under a brush arbor, then it relocated. The
sanctuary was started on land given to the church by George
Branch. It was built on Highway 24, west of Clinton. The name
was changed to Bonnetsville. The first service was conducted and
activated on October 20, 1957. Now in 2007, the church is still
located at the present Hwy 24 West of Clinton, NC.
