The Bethany Church is excited about the "Spirit of
Revival" we are experiencing. During the first week of February we were
blessed by the ministry of Alva Wilson and Tony Sutherland. Brother
Wilson shared a great message and Tony ministered through both praise
and worship and a mighty word from the Lord. The next week we had a two
night "February Fire Crusade" with special guest Walter Brashear. During
these two nights we were told by the Lord to expect some "suddenlies" to
take place in our church, and that this was the season of prodigals. We
have already begun to see Godat work through healings and lives being
restored. This revival spirit is moving through-out our church. A
couple of weeks ago a young man in our after-school program came in the
office and told Sister Debbie Burkhardt that he wanted to receive Christ
in his life. Pastor Jeff and Debbie went through the plan of salvation
and prayed with him. He asked Christ into his life and asked Pastor Jeff
would he baptize him. On Sunday March 9th, this young man along with 9
others were baptized. We are also excited about reaching out in our
community on Sunday mornings with our Van Ministry. We have been
providing transportation to our Wednesday; night Pioneer Clubs and Fire
Brand Youth, which has been a great success. We are now ready and have
had volunteers to get this ministry
going on Sunday's. This ministry will begin on March 16th. Praise the
Lord! We have realized if we want a change on the inside of our
church we must reach the outside world that is dying lost. Sue Tatum |
