Chadbourn is rejoicing in the Lord's presence among
us! July 13-18 we had an in-house revival. All our speakers were
ministers from within our local church and we did not advertise the
services. Pastor McPherson felt like this was a time for our local
church to get closer to the Lord so we would be ready for the coming
ministry. (Prior to this many had committed to praying at 6 a.m. every
morning for a week, and some for two weeks or longer.) Sunday night
(July 12th), we had a fellowship after service and a lady came back to
the Lord in the kitchen. Monday night, Brother David Butler preached
"The Battle is the Lord's", Tuesday, Sister Martha Sellers preached
"You've been on this Mountain Long Enough", Wednesday, Jamie Hatcher,
preached "Don't Look Back", Thursday, Brother Morgan Phillips preached
"Whose Team Are You On?", and Friday, the singing group Crimson Cross
ministered. Each night lasted until 9:30 PM or 10:00 PM with almost no
one leaving. Each night was filled with the Holy Ghost and many were
drawn into a new place with the Lord. There were several prophesies
given out, and at least 4 were saved and one received the Holy Ghost.
Brother Hatcher has just recently been called into the ministry, but
preached like a seasoned veteran under the anointing. Sister Sellers had
almost totally lost her voice and was told by the devil on Monday night
she would NOT preach Tuesday night. God touched her and she gave us what
God intended! Sixteen were baptized in water the following Sunday
afternoon. We give God praise for all He is doing in our midst and are
excited to see what His plan is for us as individuals and as a church
body.
Saturday, July 26th we hosted a birthday party for our beloved Pastor.
We had a lovely dinner and presented him with a new suit. On Sunday we
had Appreciation Sunday. A skit was presented that depicted various
events in someone's life and how the Pastor is intricately involved with
them. Crimson Cross then ministered in music and were a tremendous
blessing. At the end, a video was shown of all the church members and
friends telling what the Pastor meant to them, and a card with a gift
card was presented to the Pastor and His wife. We love and appreciate
our Pastor and his non-compromising attitude with the Word of God.
