Sawmills Church on the Rock is AWAKE and and ALIVE! Following this year's General Assembly we participated in the Hickory Metro Area "No Name" Outpouring. (No Name because we did not bring in some "big name" speaker, we only lifted up the Name of Jesus!) Over 22 churches of the Pentecostal and charismatic beliefs participated with the Pastors preaching the messages and the people all participating in the various responsibilities. We all used the same prayer directive for an entire month of prayer and fasting through August then we met on the first Tuesday of September for an evening of Prayer and Praise to usher in the Spirit of the Lord, and HOW HE CAME! The OUTPOURING HAD ALREADY STARTED! We came together every Friday and Saturday evening and worshiped God, our creator like never before, it is a small thing to say that we could feel the pleasure of God as we dropped our denominational barriers and simply lifted up the Name of Jesus in honor and worship with our fellow brothers and sisters from all over the area. It was as if God was saying, "Finally, my kids are getting together in My Name to worship ME!" Many were delivered, set free, lifted up, and many were healed and saved. All the churches reported that their services were on fire at their local church on Sunday morning after each of the week end meetings. We plan on doing this again in the early spring, and we can hardly wait!

Sawmills church has truly awakened to the Spirit and presence of God Almighty! We are seeing people healed, delivered and saved! Revival is beginning to break out in our local services. New comers are simply showing up without even being asked to come. The worship is coming alive! Drifters are returning to the fold. And WE ARE EXCITED about serving God! PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME!
