Bishop Steven L. Gilmer,

State Overseer

Directory of Professional Services: The State Office is preparing a Directory of Professional Services of North Carolina COGOP members and attendees who own or operate businesses. The directory will include detailed information about the services that each business provides. The fee for placing a submission in the directory will be $25.00. Each church will receive approximate 5 copies of the directory. The proceeds from this effort will go to the operating expense of our State Camp Ground. Please contact your pastor or the State Office for more information.

Report on the Azusa St. East Celebration

We have a Proud Past, Vibrant Present and Progressive Future!

Wise people know where they have been and how they arrived at their present state. We respect our Heritage and are grateful for present day accomplishments. However, like the mighty locomotive, our focus must enlighten the paths that are ahead.

Our central theme for the past six years has been concerning “Vision,” vision of where we have been, where we are and where we are going.

Join with me in promoting PROJECT 2010, 200 Churches, 10,000 members by the year 2010.

As we reunite and refocus our attention on the fields that are ready to harvest, we resolve to lay aside all that is trivial and distractive from our priority of harvesting the souls that Christ gave his life to save.

We commit our lives, talents and ministries to this commandment of Christ in order for The Church of God of Prophecy in North Carolina to fulfill her place in God’s Divine order of the redemption of mankind.

How we will accomplish “Project 2010?”

1. Invite at least 6000 (approximately one per member) new individuals to our local churches each month.

2. Develop academic and practical leadership, along with ministerial and pastoral training in order to give us the “workable tools” to harvest souls and assimilate new people into our churches.

3. Develop local church prayer initiatives and establish an “Army of Prayer Warriors” of at least 2010 North Carolina Church of God of Prophecy members.

4. Promote “small group ministry” within each local church. We recognized the giftedness of each member and encourage “Body Ministry” (members ministering to one another) within each local church.

5. Reaffirm our commitment to each other. God has placed each one of us within the Body as it pleases Him. We are a Community, One Body with Christ as our Head. United this state will stand and excel. Divided this state will wither and fall.

6. Reaffirm our respect for all peoples and each individual. Christ died for all mankind whom we welcome into all North Carolina Churches of God of Prophecy. Christ spilled His blood for each individual’s specific needs, whom we welcome and minister to them.

The above will assist The Church of God of Prophecy in North Carolina to increase our membership to al least 10,000 members by the year 2010.

The above will assist The Church of God of Prophecy in North Carolina to plant at least 50 new local churches where there is a clear and present need.
